Green School Flag

Monday 14th December was a very special day in our School's History as it was the day that we raised our Green Flag and was also the 153rd anniversary of the foundation of our school.

Past Pupil and Dublin Star "JASON SHERLOCK" was our guest of honour.
Before he raised our flag Jason spoke to all the boys who were assembled in the field.  He recalled how he himself learned to play football in the same field and represented St. Vincent's in Croke Park on two occasions.  He encouraged the boys to keep playing football and to listen to their trainers.  Many thanks are due to Jason for giving up his time and for signing jerseys and autographs afterwards.

A huge thank you also, to Ms. Galvin and her brilliant Green School Committee who made today possible through all their hard work.

A final thank you to all our students, teachers and parents for supporting our Green School Ethos so enthusiastically.  It is through this partnership of all sections of our School Community that we achieved this goal.

The day finished with a party for the boys who were thrilled to meet their hero.
