Feb 2nd 2014 saw the first ever rugby match in at St. Vincent's Primary School, Glasnevin.   The day was a great success with the visiting team Coolmine RFC providing the opposition and the three coaches Anita, Andrew Kelly and Coolmine Mick McDonagh officiating at the event. The newly formed rugby team from St. Vincent's gave a great account of themselves as they rooked, mauled and tackled for the first time against a spirited and experienced Coolmine 15. The score was evenly balanced at half-time with Coolmine just in front with 15 points to 13. Despite Vincent's scoring two more trys in the second half the experience of Coolmine proved a little too much for Vincent's with the final score being 39/24.
The event was a great success with the players, parents and coaches all enjoying a great rugby day out. We look forward to many more such events.  Well Done Boys!!!
